***TIPS SECTION***

**Read this section before playing. It is very important!**
**Don't forget to read the enemy notepad, it may help you, too.**

In this section, I will discuss what you will face in Temple of the Lizard Men 2. This is important information so be sure to read all of it.

Special Switches:

In Temple of the Lizard Men 2, you will encounter some areas that have unique switches. Sometimes these switches you have to look for and others will be specified. Sure, you will still have regular Doom Style buttons to push, but in some areas you have to think a little. These switches can be petruding bricks or blocks that need to pushed. There are different types of temple like switches. If you need help, watch Indiana Jones and you'll see what I mean.

Secrets:

Of course temples would not be interesting without secrets. Some secrets are easy but most in TOTLM2 are quite difficult. You have to think outside the box and keep your eyes open for something that may be a secret. In most instances, a room may seem normal but there may be a secret in there.

Dialogue:

As you move along through TOTLM2, you will encounter interactive characters. Listen to what they are saying, they do have important information to tell you. If you miss what they said, you can view the dialogue in the console.

Enemies:

Once you get passed Level 1, you'll be facing a whole lot more of enemies. If your playing on easy or medium, it progresses gradually but if your playing on hard and nightmare, you'll receive hell sooner. All enemies range in speed and stength. Your survival depends on you skill and wit.

Weapons:

The weapon set for TOTLM2 is very useful for your survival. The weapons include...

-Fists
-Flashlight (not really a weapon but is placed in slot 1 for use)
-Knife
-Enforcer (Reload included)
-Break Action Shotgun
-Minigun
-Grenade Launcher
-Sniper Rifle
-Serpent Staff

Fists: use as a last resort

Knife: Best used for under water combat

Flashlight: Too dark? Use this in real dark areas so you don't bump into a wall.

Enforcer: Out from Unreal Tournament, the enforcer can take down simple targets with a few blows.

Break Action Shotgun: Best used for most combat scenarios but best in close quarters.

Minigun: Turn your enemies into Swiss Cheese with this baby. Best used for taking down strong enemies. (Has primary and secondary fire)

Grenade Launcher: Best used for bosses and very hard enemies.

Sniper rifle: Want to pick off enemies from a distance? This is the gun for you. You can snipe with or without a scope - you choose. Ammo is limited so use when necessary. (Alt-fire is scope)

Serpent Staff: Out from Hexen, this soul sucking staff can be used to defend your self or drain the life out of your target. Ammo is limited, though.

Items and Power ups:

Through out TOTLM2, you will come across useful items and powerups. Most items are recognizable but here are some you should know about...

-Health potions (small blue viles or large purple bottles)

-Blood Sphere (Acts like the soul sphere)

-Blue Mega sphere (Rare yet rewarding find)

-Invulnerability ring (can be identified by seeing colorful lights flickering so you'll know where it is)

-Invisibility Mask ('nuff said)

-Flight rune (be sure that you touch the ground after picking this up, it may make you miss a secret zone)

-Time freezing hour glass (a rare find)

-Lantern (inventory item that can sure light up dark areas)

Difficulty Levels:

In TOTLM2, there are 4 difficulty settings.

-Easy
-Normal
-Hard
-Hell Revealed

On the easy setting, it literally will be a walk in the park. There's plenty of health and ammo and most scenarios are pretty survivable.

On the normal setting, difficulty progresses with the levels. The first couple are easy and then progresses to hard near the end. The setting still has a lot of challenges but it is survivable.

On the hard setting, you're in for a battle like no other. This difficulty makes you more on your toes than the normal setting. Health and ammo are still abundant but the enemies are in greater supply. It is survivable but you will get torn to shreds a little more easily.

On the hell revealed setting, you either are crazy or daring. This difficulty setting is border line impossible. No cheat codes allowed, you'll be retreating for more health and ammo, and enemies are more aggressive and do more damage to you - pretty much you're lunch meat in seconds. Play this if you dare.

Log books/ PDA's:

Through out TOTLM2, you will encounter plenty of your dead marine buddies. Sometimes they have a little log book next to them. These little PDA's usually have some hints to how to proceed through the level so be sure to read them. If you miss what it says on screen, you can open the console to view it.

Characters:

Most interactive characters are harmless and please do not shoot at them. Control your trigger finger well. Such characters that are your friends are marine team members, Lizard women, and anything else that will not try and kill you.
